My Last Word On Words (2026)
Description
My Last Word On Words, 2 minutes and 36 seconds, 16mm, silent, 2026\n\nListen! UGH! BLAH! These are some of the words that form My Last Word On Words, a short hand-processed 16mm animation designed with letraset. Letraset, a dry transfer lettering process on plastic sheets, was introduced in the late 1950s and transformed graphic design as a fast and affordable way to transfer standardised fonts for posters, advertising and magazines. The commercial use of letraset declined with desktop computers increasingly used as an aid in graphic design. Emphasising the distressed quality of deadstock letraset, My Last Word On Words references the transformation of language in text-based speaking through hand-made emoticons, words of exasperations and distorted symbols. :-)\n\nThanks to Franci Duran, Phil
